Congratulations to Interlake sophomore Eshika Saxena on winning two awards at the Society for Science’s Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held the week of May 14-19 in Los Angeles!

Saxena won 3rd place, Grand Award and $1,000 in the Systems Software category and a $5,000 special award from Oracle Academy for excellence in computer science.

This year over 1,800 students from over 70 countries participated in the fair showcasing their independent research as they competed for approximately $4 million in awards. Students are eligible to compete as finalists in the fair after winning a top prize at one of 419 Society affiliated fairs, and are judged at Intel ISEF by doctoral level scientists.
