Congratulations to Jessica Holloway, elementary art teacher and visual & performing arts curriculum developer, who was this year’s recipient of the Washington Art Education Association (WAEA) 2017 Art Educator of the Year award.

WAEA’s annual awards are a way of recognizing outstanding professionalism, service, promotion and support of the arts by individual art educators in Washington.  Holloway was nominated by her peers to be considered for the award.  Using a comprehensive scoring rubric, Holloway outscored the other candidates.  By receiving this award, she becomes eligible for future nominations for regional and national recognition.
