Congratulations to Joshua Wang, a seventh grader at Odle Middle School who was named a winner at the Washington State History Day on April 29 in Auburn. 

Wang placed first in the Chinese or Chinese American History category with his piece titled, Deng Xiaoping’s Program of Reform and Opening Up (Gaigekaifang).  With this win, Wang advances to the national competition, which will be held June 11-15 at the University of Maryland, College Park.
