Congratulations to Bellevue High students Sommer Scott and Hailee Wickersham who had their artwork recognized by the Puget Sound Educational Service District during its 2017 Regional High School Art Show.

Scott’s “Pike Place Reflection” was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Photography and Wickersham earned an honorable mention for her photo “Crashing from Cramming.” Both students created their pieces as part of Debby Nixon’s AP Photography course.

The Washington State 2017 High School Art Show, co-hosted by OSPI and Washington Art Education Association (WAEA), is an artistic celebration each year for the regional finalists from the state’s nine educational service districts (ESDs). Artwork was judged based on creativity, composition, and technique. Learn more on the PSESD website.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
