The Bellevue School District has reviewed the WIAA report on Bellevue High School football, the findings and information contained within the report, and feedback we have received from the community. The District also conducted essential further interviews and document review as recommended in the WIAA report. We remain committed to a responsible, ethical and legal process.

Bellevue High School, in partnership with the District and as required by the WIAA, has presented its report to the KingCo Conference.  The required process going forward is detailed in the KingCo Handbook.

KingCo Representatives present KingCo findings to the SeaKing District 22 Executive Board. The SeaKing District 2 Board:

The reporting process outlined above follows the WIAA rules and KingCo Conference policy.  In addition, the Bellevue School District is following up on the recommended areas identified in the WIAA report that did not result in specific findings.

We understand and respect members of our community have requested a swift response demonstrating accountability, and we continue to follow all WIAA and KingCo processes. We will provide updates to the community as they become available. These will be posted on the Bellevue School District website.

Due to the ongoing process, the District will not provide additional comments or statements at this time. Thank you for your patience as we finalize appropriate additional actions, document review and interviews.

Updated May 13, 2016: KingCo has notified the Bellevue School District that the hearing will take place the week of May 23, 2016.
